25 Years Young!
My company is celebrating 25 years of trading. We’d like to celebrate but need some ideas. Do you have any suggestions?
Firstly, congratulations on reaching a milestone.
You haven’t given us an indication of any budget, so I recommend you start by setting a budget and decide how much you can afford to spend.
There are three groups of people you may wish to involve in your celebrations, your staff, your customers and the local community.
For customers you could: - Organise a special dinner at a local restaurant and give them a personalised bottle of champagne or wine or similar gift. - Send a small birthday cake to all your customers - Organise an evening event such as River trips, canal trips, go karting evening, ten pin bowling evening, a night at the races etc. The ideas are only really constrained by your budget. - Run a regular series of promotions. This month product x is the same price as it was when we started in business.
For staff: - Again a special event or evening is a good idea - Give each staff member a memento of the occasion
For the local community: - Consider running a competition for students at a local school or college on an aspect of your business or market. Offer a prize to the student and the school. - Sponsor a local charity or offer them something free. - Check with any other local businesses to see if they are also celebrating and see if any cooperative ideas can be developed.
Make sure that you take photographs of events and send press releases to local papers and magazines. Try to plan some activity throughout the year rather than just the month of the birthday.
